Who's Behind Luma Luna
Luma Lulu is a spark of imagination brought to life with the help of artificial intelligence — but she’s never working alone. Behind the scenes, she’s guided, shaped, and encouraged by her real-life friend Karen, who brings the heart, experience, and hands-on creativity to every project. Together, we blend technology and human storytelling to create colouring adventures, playful printables, and family-friendly ideas that are as practical as they are whimsical.
Why the Blog?
When we dreamed up Rosie’s Mystery Quest, we realised we didn’t just want to stop at making colouring books. We also wanted a space to share the little ideas and tricks we've gathered along the way — the ones that make everyday life with children a bit easier, calmer, and more magical.
We're not parenting experts. We don’t have a diploma in child psychology tucked under our wings. What we do have is real-life experience (well, Karen does anyway !) — as a mum, nanna, carer, and maker of stories — and a deep love of helping children (and their grown-ups) find more joy in the everyday.
What You Can Expect Here
From time to time, you’ll find posts on:
Creative children’s activities – simple, screen-free ideas to keep kids happily busy.
Encouraging good behaviour – not lectures, just what’s worked for us and might work for you too.
Family life on a budget – tips for making memories without breaking the bank.
Other child-friendly musings – from rainy-day rescues to ways of adding calm to
bedtime chaos.
Our offerings - updates on any new releases be it books or printables or any other fun products we may dream up
Why It Matters
Children don’t need perfect homes or endless supplies of new toys. What they need most is connection, play, and encouragement to be their bright, bouncy selves. If I can share even one activity that sparks a giggle or one tip that smooths a tricky moment in your day, then this little blog has done its job.
Let’s Make This a Conversation
I’d love this space to feel like a back-and-forth, not just us chatting into the void. So if you’ve got an idea that worked wonders for you — a clever craft, a budget-friendly outing, or a story about your child’s latest hilarious quirk — please share it in the comments.
Because the best ideas don’t come from experts. They come from all of us, trying, failing, laughing, and finding what works for our families.
A Note Before You Go
We really hope you enjoy your time here at Luma Lulu — dipping into stories, ideas, and a little extra sparkle for everyday life with children.
If you’re not already signed up through one of our books, we’d love to welcome you to our circle of readers and makers. That way, you’ll be the first to know when we share new activity ideas, freebies, or release a brand-new colouring storybooks or printables.
